Georgetown coach Williams-Flournoy gets extension (PA SportsTicker)
Georgetown women’s basketball coach Terri Williams-Flournoy has signed a contract extension through the 2014-15 season.
Agent: Heat, House agree on 2-year deal (AP)
Eddie House’s agent says the veteran guard has agreed to terms on a $2.8 million, two-year contract with the Miami Heat. Agent Mark Bartelstein said Thursday that the second year is a player option. House was a second-round draft pick by the Heat in 2000 and spent his first three NBA seasons with them.
Drexel players suspended after charges (AP)
Drexel University athletic officials indefinitely suspended two basketball players charged in an armed robbery at a fellow student’s apartment last week. Starting point guard Jamie Harris and backup forward Kevin Phillip turned themselves in to police Monday to face robbery, theft and weapons charges.
